Important dates and events:

Attendance

Every week we aim to achieve 95% attendance for the class so let's try to make sure we get this!

Reading

Children are expected to read daily at home. Children will be issued with reading books along with a reading record and these must be brought in to school every day. Please ensure that when your child reads at home that you sign their reading record to let their teacher know. We give out bronze, silver and gold awards for reading during assemblies so try and aim for all three every term! In class 7, if your child reads 3 or more times per week, their name will also be entered into a raffle to win a prize every Friday!

Homework

Homework is given on a Friday. The pages to complete will be highlighted in the CGP books with the date written at the top for reference. We will also have the pages for this week displayed on the class door outside. Homework is due on a Wednesday.

Spellings

Spelling tests are every Friday and new spellings will be given out each week.

PE and Swimming

Children need to have their PE kits for Friday. Swimming is on Wednesdays. Please remember to bring your swimming shorts/costume and a towel in a bag. Children will arrive back at school for 3.30pm at the latest. Children will wear their uniform to go swimming.
