On this page you will find some key information about our class.
Timetable: Doors open at 8.50am and we begin each morning by reading for enjoyment. Then we do RAMP reading or key skills such as spelling and Maths and English lessons for the rest of the morning. In the afternoons we do all of the other subjects as part of our Linked Learning plus Science, ICT and PE.
Reading: As well as reading regularly at school, you are expected to read as often as you can at home too (a minimum of three times a week). This might not always be your reading book but make sure your reading diaries are signed so reads can be counted for the Reading Challenge! You will also be entered into Frappe Friday!
Times Tables and Spellings: You will be given times tables and spellings to learn every week. The spellings will be linked to learning in class. It is important you practice these regularly so you are ready for your tests on Friday.
Homework: Each week you will be given your homework on a Friday including Maths (linked to our learning that week). You should bring your homework to school every Wednesday to show your weekly activity. You will have a homework folder to keep your homework in. Holiday homework will be a pre-learning project to prepare for the new topic.
PE: You will have two PE lessons per week and will need full PE kits. This includes a white T-Shirt and blue shorts in a draw string bag. Our PE Lessons are on a Tuesday and Wednesday
