Class 7 (Y3)

Attendance

Every week we aim to achieve 95% attendance for the class. Please make sure that your child is in school every day.

In Class 7 your teachers are:

Miss Kennett (Class Teacher), Ms Lord (Teaching Assistant) and Miss Creevy (SEND Support)

Reading

Children are expected to read daily at home. Children will be issued with reading books along with a reading record and these must be brought in to school every day. Please ensure that when your child reads at home that you sign their reading record to let their teacher know. We give out bronze, silver and gold awards for reading during assemblies so please aim for all three every term! In class 7, if your child reads 3 or more times per week, their name will also be entered into a raffle to win a prize every Friday!

Homework

This year, we ask that children complete at least 3 reads each week, practise their weekly spellings and practise their times tables on TT Rockstars using their logins. Logins will be sent out through a letter and will be stuck into your child's reading record.

Spellings

Spelling tests are every Friday and new spellings will be given out each week.

PE and Swimming

Children need to have their PE kits for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Swimming start dates and days is yet to be confirmed. Please remember to bring your swimming shorts/costume and a towel in a bag when swimming begins. Children will arrive back at school for 3.30pm at the latest. Children will wear their uniform to go swimming.
