The timetable below is an example of a typical day in Sycamore class. The children are expected to arrive in the classroom for 8:50.
8:50 – Arithmetic time.
9.05 to 9.30 – We have ks1 school assembly.
9.30 to 10.25 We start our Maths lesson.
10.25 to 10.40 – Break time.
10.40 to 11.45 – We start our literacy lesson.
11.45 to 12.15 – Basics skills (Handwriting, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation).
12.15 to 1.15 – Lunch Time.
1.15 to 1.25 – Reading Time
1.25 to 2.15 – First lesson in the afternoon (Linked Learning or Computing).
2.15 to 3.15 – Second lesson in the afternoon (Music, Science or Beliefs & Values).
3.15 to 3.30 – Class Reader
Your attendance is very important! You must be on time every day and in school for 8.50am. This is because we start our maths lesson just after 9 o’clock. As a school we aim for 96% attendance.
With your help we can win the attendance race and be the best class!
It will be expected that you read a minimum of 3 times per week. Your reading record will then need to be signed by a carer/parent.
Physical Education (PE):
Physical Education is every Thursday afternoon and will be taught by Miss Deadman. Make sure you bring your PE kit into school at the beginning of the week.
Weekly Spellings & Homework:
You will be given spellings each week. Homework (including spellings) will be set on a Friday and due in on Friday of the following week.
