Breakfast and After School Club

Breakfast Club and After School Club

Changes in operating procedures:

Breakfast Club

Staggered start times 7.55am or 8.00am

After School Club

3.00-5.00pm

In September we will be re-opening our breakfast club and after school provision.  We have capped the number of children who will access this provision to 30 (grouped in smaller bubbles no more than 15 pupils) and after school club will run until 5.00pm. Parents/carers who work and need this provision will be prioritised.

Each group will be considered as its own bubble (although each bubble will contain pupils from a range of year groups and siblings will be kept together).  Our usual social distancing practices will apply.

The school will keep a detailed record of which pupils access different bubbles across the school i.e Year 2, breakfast club and use this potentially to close bubbles (send pupils home to self-isolate) following a positive test result of a child or member of staff within a bubble.

In September the breakfast and after school club will operate from the school hall.  As such, parents/carers are able to drop off and collect their child at the main entrance door as long as social distancing rules are followed.  (PLEASE DO NOT USE THE STAFF CAR PARK TO PARK)

For those children attending Breakfast club it is important your child is dropped off at the specific time given to ensure that social distancing can followed at the main entrance.  Please make sure your child arrives on time as the availability of staff to greet children will be limited due to staff having to remain in their own bubble and reducing the footfall in the main entrance.

For parents collecting their child from after school club, please ring the doorbell for after school club and wait outside the office area (avoiding coming into school).  The after school staff will bring your child out to you maintaining the social distancing measures.

All the above measures have been put in place as part of the risk assessment to ensure that we can provide this provision for those families that really need it.  We expect all parents/carers to respect the safeguarding measures put in place and follow the agreed procedures before applying or accepting a place. Your child’s place might be withdrawn if the safety measures are not followed by parents/carers.
